This dish is addictive! The mixture of runny yolk, slightly warm, fresh yogurt, smoky notes of sweet paprika, and slight spiciness from the peppers....quite a poem!
If my husband had to choose a favorite poached egg breakfast, I think it would be Eggs Benedict, but mine would have to be Çılbır (Turkish Poached Eggs). I had never heard of poached eggs being served with yogurt before, and now I know that I’ve been missing out. If this dish is new to you, you will be surprised by how easy it is to make, the depth of flavor, and how easy it is to plate and present beautifully. This dish is just too easy and too good not to become part of collection of "slightly fancy" breakfast dishes.
