Spritz Tree Cookies

This recipe is for my husband. His mom has baked these wonderful cookies for him for Christmas since he was a little kid, and I wanted to create my own version of them and continue with this wonderful tradition. I haven't changed her recipe that much, and the result has been approved by my husband. These spritz cookies are easy to make and very delicious. They are a lot like a sugar cookie combined with a shortbread cookie. The recipe does require a cookie press, but investing in one will be well worth it.
