Paratha is a roti, or flatbread, native to the Indian subcontinent. The name literally means “layers of cooked dough”, and it’s just incredible.

My husband is half Trini and this goes out to Trinidad 🇹🇹 with love from Romania 🇷🇴.

First time I had paratha was in Jamaica 🇯🇲 back in 2019, and I just couldn’t stop eating. It was just so good that I probably ate it all😂. Fun fact: in Trinidad, they call it “buss up shut” because it looks like a busted up shirt. I hope that you give it a try and enjoy this delicious roti. I served mine with a quick dipping sauce made out of sour cream, feta cheese and green onions (delicious 😅).
