Jamaican Style Banana Fritters

Growing up in Romania, we only ever had bananas in the house on special occasions, and we would always eat them right away (bananas were pricey and not something my parents would often buy). My dad always loved bananas, and watching him eat them always made me crave one just to see what the hype was all about. At that time, we didn’t know they were even more delicious when they turn dark and can be used in so many ways making amazing sweet treats.

My husband, on the other hand, grew up with bananas growing in his own garden (lucky him ❤️). Banana fritters were a part of his childhood, and I’m very excited to share this recipe with everyone else.

Banana bread is the only other recipe I've made when we had overripe bananas in the house but this is actually better and more delicious (anything fried is better 😅). Moving forward, I will let my bananas overripen intentionally just so that I can indulge on these amazing fritters. This recipe has been approved by my husband, who described it as one of the best banana fritters he's ever had.
