This drink is a must have during Christmas season in Puerto Rico, and it can appear as early as Thanksgiving. This drink resembles eggnog, but is very different in my opinion. Some people add egg yolks to it, but I like it without.
The first time I had coquito was around 10 years ago with my friend Lina. She convinced me to try it and it was absolutely delicious. I never thought about making this drink at home, but this year I decided to work on it for my husband and he absolutely loved it. I am trying to make our own Christmas traditions, and this recipe will remain with us forever now.
